lost against China for the second time
Hangzhou, China, Junne 29 - China extended their winning streak
against Egypt by beating them 3-0 in their second match in the
third weekend of the intercontinental round of the 2008 FIVB
World League in Hangzhou Dragon Gymnasium. China improved their
win- loss ratio to 4-2 to lead the pool with 10 points while
Egypt dropped to 3-3. .

President Mubarak as volleyball was chosen the best sport in

Egypt, March 7, 2008- The Egyptian President of the Republic Mr.
Hosni Mubarak has awarded the African Volleyball Confederation
CAVB and Egyptian volleyball Federation President Dr. Amr Elwani
by the first degree Order of the country after volleyball was
chosen as the best sport in the country for the second year in a

Abdalla the First Egyptian
Volleyball player to achieve European Championship
Cairo,
Egypt, March -: The Italian based Egyptian setter Abdalla Abdel
Salam became the first ever Egyptian player to achieve European
title when he won with Treviso Volleyball team of Italy the
Italian cup this season following their valuable victory over AS
Roma 3-0 (25-23, 25-20, 25-13) in the final.

New success in Egyptian
Coaches Course with the usual FIVB support
Cairo,
Egypt, March 14, 2008-: The Egyptian Volleyball Federation FEVB
repeated their annual success organizing a highly successful
coaches’ course held at the National Olympic Centre in Maadi,
Cairo 19-30 January 2008 under support of the World Volleyball
Governing body FIVB.

team secured a World Championship vacancy in Japan 2006 to
be the first team in the globe to have this ticket from the

Kenya retained the trophy of the 2008 Women’s African
Clubs Champions Championship following Prisons victory
over Mouloudia of Algeria in a thriller final her at
Abdalla Al Faysal Hall in Ahly club Cairo, Egypt on
Sunday. KC Bank of Kenya won also the bronze after
defeating the Organizers Al Ahly of Egypt in the third
place match. |

Misurata, Libya, April 18, 2008- Zamalek of Egypt
achieved the trophy of the 27th African Clubs Champions
Championship following their valuable victory over their
arc rivals Al Ahly in the final of the competition held
here at Misurata, Libya on Friday. The big favorites
since the start of the competition played a great match
led by the skillful setter Ashraf Aboul Hassan and
succeeded to set their third victory in the history of
the competition and the first since 1987. Al Ahly, the
record holder of the number of trophies of this
competition with 8 cups failed to achieve their seventh
due to the imbalance happened to many key stars. |

Africa, March 11-: Al Ahly of Egypt clinched the
title of the 25th African clubs Championship in Durban,
South Africa following their thriller victory over their
North African compatriot, Sfax of Tunisia in the final
match held at Fred Crookes Sports complex in Durban
Institute of Technology in presence of The South African
Provincial Sports Minister, Amichand Rajbansi. Al Ahly
increased his record of gaining the cup to 8 times since
the start of the competition in 1982.

in the World Map, qualifying to the 2007 Men’s under 21
World Championship to be held in Morocco, when they
achieved their fourth victory over the Morocco in a
rapid three set match in the fourth day of the 12th
Men’s Under 21 African Nations Championship held at
Mohamed V Hall in Casablanca, Morocco on Thursday. The
